Job Summary:

The Senior Control Center and SCADA Engineer will be part of the Operational Technology team and directly support the Operations and Maintenance division. This position will work closely with Engineering and Construction teams in the office and throughout the organization to develop, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Repsol's North America Renewables network. The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead participation in the commissioning of renewable energy facilities for the Control Center, including database integration, communications validation, end-to-end testing of critical control and monitoring systems, and plant regulation and performance testing required for grid compliance and commercial operation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and reliability of data collection and communication systems supporting the Control Center and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Design and development of Industrial IoT solutions, including automation scripts, client-server applications, and communications interfaces.
  • Support the development of technical specifications and standards for SCADA, communications, and control systems used to operate and monitor Repsol renewable assets.
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be eligible to work for any U.S. employer without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial SCADA, Control Center and OT systems.
  • Verifiable experience in renewables.
  • Demonstrated experience with: Demonstrated expertise in software development, scripting, and data management, including SQL, Python, JavaScript, VBA, Windows and Linux administration, and the development of automated reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Proven strong expertise in industrial communication protocols and utility-scale SCADA integrations, including OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3 and related communication standards.
  • AWS/Azure/GCP as well as cloud networking technologies.
  • Virtualization/VMWare knowledge and integration into OT environments.
  • Designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA networks.
  • Industry-recognised Scada certificates such as Ignition and Aveva are preferred.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
