Job Description:
We are seeking a Sr. IT System Engineer to join our global Applications and Endpoint delivery team where they manage solutions and configuration of Horizon, RDS, Published applications, Client desktop-VDI OS and applications. The team also supports client file/print services infrastructures and Mobile MDM services through Intune. Candidate having a background in Citrix or Azure AVD is also desirable.
You will work independently on high-level assignments and strategic initiatives, providing necessary details for successful implementation. Sr. IT System Engineer will identify gaps in processes and technologies, research potential solutions, and are recognized as technical experts in their areas. You can lead small project teams, collaborate with business key users and IT teams to accomplish tasks, resolve issues, and test changes or new solutions.
Location - Charlotte, NC
Hybrid 2 days in office per week
Travel - 2 - 4 times a year, 1 week of travel at a time. Domestic or International.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Desktop and Applications Virtualization
  • Support data center hosted Horizon VDI and Published applications delivery infrastructure
  • Build, test, and maintain corporate VDI Operating Systems images
  • Identify requirements and research solutions for projects and tasks
  • Provide technical expertise and define strategies for supporting these solutions
Print & File share
  • File share and printer solutions/services management
  • Provide technical expertise and define strategies for supporting these solutions
  • Stay current with technologies to support local and hybrid projects requirements
Systems Management solutions
  • Support Hybrid MECM and Intune solutions and infrastructure
  • Support OS and applications deployment infrastructure and solutions for Mobile and hybrid windows devices
  • Stay current with technologies to support local and hybrid projects requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Technical competencies
  • Ability to take requirements, plan, and deliver complex solutions.
  • Lead projects and support team members.
  • Knowledge of system engineering principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of Horizon, Citrix, VDI, Azure Virtual desktop, RDS or comparable solutions
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell preferred).
  • Experience with Intune and MECM and MDM solutions preferred.
Non-technical competencies
  • Good level of English (spoken and written).
  • Team spirit and good multicultural interpersonal skills.
  • Good documentation and planning skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and high functional logic.
  • Self-organized mindset.

Education /Experience:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with implementing and supporting RDS, Horizon, Citrix, or AVD environments.
  • 2+ years of experience with infrastructure systems supporting MECM/Intune and deployment of desktops and applications a plus.

The base compensation range for this role is $115,000-$140,000. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions.
