Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Contract | Travel or Local

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will utilize the nursing process to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care while adhering to professional nursing standards and hospital policies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care, including medication administration and patient monitoring

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation from admission through discharge

  • Communicate patient assessments, care plans, and changes in condition with the interdisciplinary team

  • Perform charge nurse duties and act as a clinical resource for nursing staff

  • Utilize computerized nursing and clinical documentation systems effectively

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and blood/body fluid exposure policies

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

  • Coordinate daily operating room activities in collaboration with anesthesia and leadership teams

  • Support staff supervision, education, and unit operations

  • Manage operating room supplies, equipment, and medication inventory (including Pyxis systems)

  • Participate in on-call coverage for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as required


Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)

  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent Operating Room experience

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

  • BLS certification required
