Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse

Position Overview

This position involves working as an Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse, providing direct care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in various surgical procedures and possess the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Unit Information

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

  • Number of Operating Rooms: 13
  • Staffing: 81+ Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs)
  • Trauma Level: II with 24-hour staffing
Responsibilities
  • Circulate in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and sterile techniques.
  • Assist with a variety of surgical procedures, excluding LVADs, transplants, and pediatric cases under the age of 14.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, specifically EPIC, for patient documentation.
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
    • Experience with da Vinci Robotics
    • Experience in orthopedic surgery
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in vascular procedures
Work Schedule
  • Shifts: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Expected to participate in 3 to 6 call shifts per month.
