Job Description
We're looking for Surgery Buyers who are excited to support the daily operations of our Surgery Department through effective purchasing and inventory management. In this role, you'll coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, support patient supply chain processes, and ensure appropriate charge capture within hospital systems. We value attention to detail, teamwork, organization, and clear communication, and we're excited to welcome teammates who bring these strengths to our team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for the Surgery Department in accordance with hospital policies and standards
  • Manage operating room inventory and patient supply chain processes
  • Apply and monitor supply-related charges accurately within hospital systems
  • Maintain inventory records and assist with stock control and replenishment activities
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and purchase order software to support purchasing operations
  • Collaborate with clinical and support staff to ensure adequate supply availability and operational efficiency

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
  • Current LVN or CST licensure to practice in California
  • Minimum of three (3) years of operating room experience, including inventory management, patient supply chain operations, and hospital charge application
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and industry-standard purchase order software platforms
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language
  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, and community
  • Maintains licenses and certifications as required for the position
