Job Description:
RN with experience required in Pre-Op, Inter-Op, and Post-Op who can supervise a CST working towards certification in OR. The role involves preparing patients for surgery, post-operative care, and assisting the surgeon during procedures with call requirements split between two nurses, totaling 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Preoperative Nursing: Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-op history and physical assessment, assessing vital signs, starting IVs, and administering preoperative medications.
  • Postoperative Nursing: Monitor patients' vital signs and level of sedation, and provide treatment for PONV, pain, and unstable vital signs as needed.
  • Circulating: Assist the surgeon for general, orthopedic, and cataract surgeries, c-sections, and traumas.
  • Charting: Familiarity with Cerner.
Requirements:
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS for the OR.
  • Preferred scrub experience.
  • Call required 14-15 days per month.
