Job description

Company Description

VERSANT (Nasdaq: VSNT) is an industry-changing media and entertainment business and home to trusted brands that shape culture, inform audiences, and build lasting connections. It operates across four core markets: political news and opinion, business news and personal finance, golf, and sports and genre entertainment. These markets are served through a powerful portfolio of iconic and innovative brands, including CNBC, MS NOW, USA Network, Golf Channel, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Versant's sports division USA Sports, along with complementary digital assets including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and GolfPass.

Job Description

Versant is seeking a forward-looking, execution-oriented leader to serve as Sr. Manager, Enterprise AI Operating Strategy within the Enterprise Transformation Office. This role will help shape how AI is applied across the company in practical, scalable, and business-relevant ways.

Sitting at the intersection of enterprise strategy and operational execution, this leader will help define Versant’s AI operating model and translate emerging capabilities into workflows, priorities, and measurable business outcomes. The role will partner across business, transformation, and technology teams to ensure AI efforts are aligned to strategic goals, embedded into ways of working, and positioned to deliver durable value across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of AI fluency, strategic thinking, business judgment, process design, and cross-functional execution. This person will play a key role in helping Versant move beyond experimentation and into repeatable, enterprise-level impact.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise AI Strategy, Governance & Operating Discipline

  • Run the day-to-day operating responsibilities of Versant’s enterprise AI center of excellence, including governance, prioritization, coordination, and shared learning
  • Translate enterprise AI priorities into clear operating rhythms, intake processes, and decision forums
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize AI opportunities aligned to business needs, transformation priorities, and operational value
  • Help shape enterprise guidance, standards, and decision frameworks for practical, scalable, and business-relevant AI usage
  • Support decisions on where enterprise coordination, shared standards, or centralized sponsorship are needed versus where functions can move independently

Workflow Enablement & Adoption

  • Translate AI capabilities into workflows that improve speed, quality, decision-making, and efficiency across the organization
  • Partner with functions to identify where AI can be embedded into day-to-day processes and where changes in ways of working may be required
  • Support the rollout and adoption of AI-enabled workflows tied to priority enterprise and functional initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, scale, or reuse AI-enabled workflows across functions where appropriate

Value Realization & Continuous Improvement

  • Help establish clear approaches for measuring business value, workflow effectiveness, and adoption across AI initiatives
  • Track impact, lessons learned, and scale opportunities across use cases and enterprise efforts
  • Surface tradeoffs, sequencing decisions, and dependencies required to scale AI effectively across the organization
  • Serve as a central point of coordination across business, transformation, and technology stakeholders to connect priorities, outcomes, and follow-through
  • Continuously improve how AI efforts are governed, adopted, and translated into measurable enterprise value
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Technology, Operations, Strategy, Transformation, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in AI strategy, digital transformation, strategic operations, consulting, program leadership, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of workflow design, business process change, and enterprise technology enablement
  • Experience driving cross-functional operating model, workflow, or transformation initiatives at the enterprise level
  • Ability to translate emerging technical capabilities into practical business applications and operational improvements
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a bias for execution and follow-through
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort operating in dynamic environments with evolving priorities and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting rollout of new workflow tools or AI-enabled operating practices
  • Experience in enterprise transformation, operating model design, or change execution across complex organizations
  • Experience in media, entertainment, broadcast, or technology environments
  • Familiarity with workflow design methods, business process improvement approaches, and value realization frameworks
