Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a 2nd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 1 based out of Linthicum, MD. You will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 15 - 20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment for ACT - Assembly Coating and Test. You will work independently across organizations; manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets; assign and manage represented EMS Operators to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields; implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule; and perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Operator and/or M&P Specialist.

What You'll Get to Do: Provide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies. Plan, direct, and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgeted costs. Manage and provide leadership to manufacturing teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.

Drive employee efficiency. Manage the area to produce quality products. Engage employees to achieve their highest potential.

Implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule. Perform required SAP/MES transactions. Basic Qualifications for General Manufacturing Manager 1: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience, Master's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT, Engineering environment or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 9 years of experience working in Manufacturing, Production, IT or Engineering environment or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

A minimum of 1 year of experience leading and/or managing people and/or projects The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications for General Manufacturing Manager 1: Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance. Experience with SAP/MES. Experience with ISO, 5S, CI, and problem-solving methodologies.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
