Job description
We are looking for a talented General Manager - Small Scope Organization to join our team specializing in General Management for Cummins, Inc. in Savannah, GA.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Own business performance by achieving balanced scorecard targets, managing P&L, and optimizing asset utilization.
- Set direction and plans by translating business unit strategy into executable business plans and short-term goals.
- Grow the business profitably by identifying, developing, and executing new and existing revenue opportunities.
- Lead multi-functional operations across customer service, finance, quality, purchasing, materials, and HR using standard operating processes.
- Drive operational excellence through Cummins Operating System alignment, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Resolve cross-functional challenges by anticipating risks and coordinating solutions that protect business results.
- Champion customer satisfaction by building strong customer relationships and continuously improving the customer experience.
- Develop people and teams by coaching leaders, setting performance and development goals, and building high-performing, engaged teams.
Education/Experience:
- College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Business or related field required. Advanced degree in Business or related field preferred.
Green Belt certified. - Significant experience required, including supervisory, product, customer, and budgetary experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- This role is at a small branch location and as a result will require being able to physically do the same work as a service administrator, service supervisor and parts professional at any given time due to the limited number of staff on site. This is essential in order to take care of customers and support the team in a timely manner.
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products to include, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, etc.
- 5-10 years of experience required.
