Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Printing Shift Supervisor, the Feeder is responsible for the unpacking of molded product and assisting with teardowns. A fully qualified Feeder will be skilled in the following key responsibilities areas, however, may only be required to perform one or more of the responsibilities at a given time.

The Feeder will unpack product from boxes and fill in-feed elevators or in-feed spin bars. Feeders may be required to perform this function on multiple machines at one time (example, in-feed elevators or in-feed spin bars facing each other), or other machines to fill in for lunches and breaks.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Unpack product from boxes and fill in-feed elevators or in-feed spin bars
  • Fill in for other feeders on their lunches and breaks
  • Maintain supply of boxes and U-boards for press operator
  • Assist Press Operators with teardown
  • Ensure that machines and the area around the machines are clean
  • Assist operator in copy changes and mechanicals
  • Assist in clean-up of press and area
  • Keep operator informed of variation in molded product
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Educational Requirements: No minimum education experience required.

Minimum Experience/Field: No previous experience required. 

Courses Required:

Computer Skills: Good PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Physical Requirements:

Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills

Additional Education/Experience/Skills: Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to train and progress to Printing Operator.  Ability to work overtime as required based on Customer Demand.
