OpenText Developer/Senior Engineer, Arlington, VA
We are seeking an OpenText Developer/Senior Engineer to design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications. You will support and/or install software applications/operating systems. You will also participate in the testing process through test review and analysis.
OpenText Developer/Senior Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide OpenText development related support and services for clients. This could include full software development implementation activities (i.e., creation of a technical design, programming, testing, and maintenance).
- Work with Business Analyst to perform requirements gathering/analysis of business problems.
- Assist with developing alternatives and recommending technical approaches to solve client business requirements.
- Reconcile functional requirements with the capabilities of the recommended software and system architecture.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and implement software code.
- Identify and implement opportunities to increase operational efficiency and maintainability of software.
OpenText Developer/Senior Engineer Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree required.
- Secret Level Clearance preferred.
- Security+ Certification preferred.
- 5 or more years in IT consulting/development projects.
- Previous experience with the OpenText product stack preferred including OpenText Content Server and AppWorks.
- Demonstrated experience programming in the following computer languages: Java, C++, JavaScript, Structure Query language (SQL) & Object-Oriented programming.
- Demonstrated experience in Web Services Technologies like SOAP, REST, WSDL and Service Oriented Architecture SOA.
- Demonstrated experience with Full Stack development.
- Experience developing software in a continuous integration process.
- Strong client relationship skills. Must be able to interface internally and externally with client project team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills needed, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
