Westlake Management Services Inc. in Houston, TX seeks Supervisor - IS Financial Systems (SAP FICO). Worksite: 5444 Westheimer Road, Suite 700, Houston, TX 77056. Must put job code (R32599) on resume and on cover letter.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling, while also supervising a team of analysts and contractors.
  • Supervise a team of 2-3 full-time employees and contractors, provide mentoring, workload allocation, and performance reviews.
  • Design, configure, and support SAP FI (GL including New GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting) and CO (Product Costing, Actual Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders).
  • Configure Project Systems (PS) for asset capitalization and project settlements (e.g., expansions, turnaround projects).
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes: cost estimates, foreign currency valuation, assessments/distributions, depreciation postings, reconciliations.
  • Work on integration with Procure-to-Pay (MM, VIM, Vertex, Concur) and Order-to-Cash (SD, Billing, Credit, Collections, GetPaid).
  • Work on integration with Production Planning (PP), Plant Maintenance (PM), and other SAP modules.
  • Manage support for third-party finance systems including OpenText VIM, Vertex O Series, BlackLine, SAP Concur, FIS GetPaid, and FIS Integrity.
  • Lead SAP S/4HANA migration and ERP upgrade projects.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, Local GAAP, and SOX requirements.
  • Provide project management for large-scale financial system initiatives, including acquisitions and system integrations.
  • Work with key business users and process owners in the Finance & Accounting organization, Procurement, Customer Service and Credit Management teams to articulate leading practices and to identify opportunities to enhance & improve current processes, define project scope and project deliverables, manage and deliver projects, train and support users.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Information Systems or Computer Science or Business Administration.
Minimum Experience Requirements: 8 years of experience in accounting, Finance & SAP systems.
