Position: OpenText Media Management Consultant (OTMM)

Location:  Washington, DC (Onsite)

Duration: Long term contract

OpenText Media Management (OTMM) Upgrade Consultant:

We are seeking an experienced OpenText Media Management (OTMM) Technical Lead / Consultant to lead and execute an on premise OTMM platform upgrade from version 16.2.1 to the latest available version. The role involves architecture design, upgrade execution, customization refactoring, environment setup, migration support, and close collaboration with customer teams during testing and production rollout. The consultant will also work closely with a dedicated Project Manager to ensure successful delivery within scope.

Role Summary:

Responsible for upgrading an on-premise OpenText Media Management (OTMM) platform from version 16.2.1 to the latest supported version, including assessment, customization refactoring, environment setup, migration support, and production rollout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design OTMM upgrade architecture and approach
  • Perform system health check and review existing customizations
  • Refactor existing customizations for like-for-like functionality post-upgrade
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Test and Production environments
  • Import up to 5,000 sample assets into Test environment and validate core features

Validate core OTMM functionalities including:

  • Repository & Media Assets (RMA),
  • Search
  • Metadata
  • DMTS and related features
  • Provide technical support and issue remediation during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), with testing performed by the customer.
  • Support production rollout, delta migration, validation, and post go-live remediation
  • Collaborate with the assigned technical Project Manager

Required Skills & Experience:

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong hands on experience with OpenText Media Management (OTMM)
  • Proven experience upgrading OTMM in on premise environments

Deep understanding of:

  • OTMM architecture
  • Asset ingestion and metadata management
  • Customization and extension frameworks
  • Experience with migration, validation, and production rollout activities
