What does an OpenStack Solution Architect do?

An OpenStack Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing cloud infrastructure solutions based on the OpenStack platform. They work closely with clients or internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures. Their role also involves selecting appropriate OpenStack components, integrating third-party tools, and ensuring that deployments follow best practices for reliability and performance. Additionally, they may provide guidance during migration projects and ongoing support for cloud environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Openstack Solution Architect, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Openstack Solution Architect, you need deep expertise in cloud computing, Linux systems, networking, and experience with OpenStack deployments, often supported by a relevant degree and certifications like Certified OpenStack Administrator (COA).
