Job Summary:
Scalence L.L.C. is seeking a DevOps Engineer III for a potential contract-to-hire position. The role focuses on supporting the quality engineering function and involves cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) development, including UAT and PROD validation requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Perform technical requirements and use case analysis for testing and test automation development objectives
• Develop new and execute existing IaC test code, evaluate results against acceptance criteria, create/maintain bugs discovered
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience in one or more of the following: Node.js, TypeScript, and REST API development
• Experience in Hashicorp Terraform / Vault, Kafka, key-value stores, and service mesh/middleware
• Experience in Windows OS and Office Productivity Suite of applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel...)
• Strong experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, including Git - branching strategies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, TypeScript, Node.js) for automation
• Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, ALM Octane)
• Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments
Preferred:
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Familiarity with Jira for task and issue tracking
• Experience with service validation and testing in enterprise environments
