The Iowa Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking to fill a Criminal Intelligence Analyst Senior position with the Iowa Division of Intelligence and Fusion Center. Organization Background The Iowa Department of Public Safety (DPS) is a statewide law enforcement agency committed to serving the people of Iowa with leadership, integrity, and professionalism.

DPS is comprised of the following divisions: - Iowa State Patrol - Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) - Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement - Iowa State Fire Marshal - Division of Professional Development and Support Services - Division of Intelligence and Fusion Center - Administrative Services Division Job Description As a Criminal Intelligence Analyst Senior (Criminal Intelligence Analyst 2), it is essential to have the ability to: - perform operational intelligence analysis by providing direct, critical, front-line intelligence support to ongoing or continuing investigations. - critically evaluate information from multiple sources and determine the importance and limitations of each piece of information.

- analyze cellphone data, financial records, computerized databases, open sources, and social media records to provide intelligence support to criminal investigations and to identify criminal activity. - conduct cellular telephone analysis and mapping; will critically evaluate information, draw inferences, and apply logic to perform analysis. - accurately prepare written reports and communicate findings.

Additional Requirements - This position is scheduled to work Monday-Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with occasional work on weekends and evenings. - Some travel within the State of Iowa is required. - Applicants are encouraged to attach a cover letter and resume within the NEOGOV application.
