PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 
  • Conducts analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature.
  • Provides all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.
  • Provides intelligence support to 24 x 7, 365 day-a-year Intelligence Watch position in support of J2/Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) as required.
  • Assists the JOC Intelligence Watch Officer to understand, manage, and mitigate incidents on the DoDIN.
  • Manage and disseminate daily single source reporting related to USCYBERCOM Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs).
  • Develops and disseminates brief books, alerts, and briefing slides.
  • Updates, maintains and posts intelligence products on USCYBERCOM /J2 websites on the NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, NSANet and other networks as required.
  • Monitors adversaries and threats, providing contextual analysis of findings, and conducting data transfer authority duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:ย 
  • Possess the ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
  • An active and current government clearance is required to be considered for this work.ย ย 
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience actively working as an All-Source/Intelligence Analyst
HIGHLY DESIRED
  • Possess ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction
  • Possess ability to use logic and systematic approaches to gather, evaluate, and synthesize multiple sources of informationย 
  • Possess ability to interpret analysis to include, but is not limited to, its meaning, importance, and implications
  • Possess ability to defend analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgments when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developmentsย 
  • Possess ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic / soft copy matrices and / or web-enabled formats
  • Possess ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally
  • Possess proficiency using Microsoft Office tools ย Possess ability to develop structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols
  • Possess ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information
  • Possess ability to guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems
  • Possess the ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced
  • Possess ability to structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines
  • Experience supporting Defense Warning Program efforts Possess ability to update and manage threat indicators for cyber threat entities Possess analytical skills to monitor, assess new threat trends and report
  • Experience with conducting reports and briefs changes in indicators and threat levels
  • Experience providing support to meetings related to assigned area of responsibility Master's degree
    • OR have Bachelor's degree plus an additional 5 years of experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute for the Master's degree

COMPENSATION

Base salaries at CAS are determined by various factors, including work location, an individual's education, knowledge, skills, experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected salary range for this position is $120,000 to $145,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of CAS's total compensation package.
