JOB SUMMARY:
Prepares and compiles documents required by federal government for discharge of foreign cargo at domestic port to serve as intermediary between importers, merchant shipping companies, airlines, railroads, trucking companies, pipeline operators, and the United States Customs Service by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisor. Travels to attend customer operational meetings. Assists in the training of custom's issues and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Communicate operational situations to management
  • Assist in collection of any outstanding accounts.
  • Maintain communication with steamship and/or airline agents as to status of shipments.
  • Assist sales department with sales calls to new and established customers
  • Maintain communication and relationships with customers
  • Together with management prepare fees and duty rate quotes in a timely manner
  • Open, invoice and close files.
  • Manage and supervise daily work

  • Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
  • The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
  • Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
