Description:

The candidate reports to the CIO Services Task lead and manages a technical team embedded in a US Government partner site. This position leads application architecture and integration, development, and deployment initiatives. This role is a hybrid between an individual contributor, leading implementation by example, and the administrative oversight of 10-20 engineers – this position works collaboratively with project management teams for requirements prioritization and reporting.

Location: Greater Baltimore Area

Clearance Level Required: Secret

Required Skills/Credentials:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must hold a US government security clearance at the Secret level or Higher
  • Bachelors degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Math, or Physics
  • Minimum five years of post-graduate professional experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the last three years leading and supervising teams
  • Minimum of one years' experience in the last three years leading and supervising teams running a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline utilizing modern approaches including containerization, micro-segmentation, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Certification compliant with DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g., Security+)
  • Experience architecting and managing deployments into Amazon Web Services and Azure
  • Experience architecting and managing deployments in on-premises and hybrid-cloud environments

Desirable Skills/Credentials:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products for efficient communication, reporting, and presentation
  • Proficiency with architecture documentation tools such as Cameo, Visio, and Draw.io
  • Experience with microservice architecture deployments
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Certifications in Amazon Web Services and Azure, DevOps or architecture focused preferred
  • Certification compliant with DoD 8570 IAT III (e.g., CISSP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The hourly wage range is: $48.08 - $108.17
