Job description

The Job Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Lead Cardiovascular Sonographer* who will function in a lead capacity and perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiogram examinations; explain procedures to patients and obtain informed consent from patients for testing; review, select, and store ultrasound images; prepare patients and equipment for procedures, and monitor patients before, during, and after testing. *Official Title: Senior Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist. ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center.

Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided. Incumbents must be willing to work on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Requirements Candidates must possess all of the following: Certification: Must possess and maintain current Adult Echocardiography certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association Experience: Three (3) years of recent experience within the past five (5) years as a Cardiovascular Sonographer, which includes at least one (1) year in an acute care setting and two (2) years in a hospital or ambulatory setting.

Desired Qualifications One (1) year of experience as a lead or supervising Cardiovascular Sonographer is highly desirable.
