Job Summary
The College of Coastal Georgia seeks to hire a full-time Chef Lecturer to teach in the Associates of Applied Science Culinary Arts degree program. Culinary Arts is housed in the Department of Hospitality, Tourism, and Culinary Arts in the School of Business & Public Management. This position is 12-month, non-tenure track. The teaching load (by credit hours by semester) is 15/15/3 for fall, spring, and summer terms. The contract is expected to begin August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
1 -
-Teach theory and practical culinary skills in the AAS, Culinary Arts program, both in person and online.
2 -
-Teach 15 credit hours in each of fall and spring semester and 3 credit hours in the summer semester.
3 -
-Engage in facility maintenance, community engagement, and other duties in summer and throughout the year.
4 -
-Maintain on-campus office hours, prepare lesson plans, syllabi, including course objectives, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, and submission of final grades and attendance reports.

-Advise Culinary Arts students.
6 -
-Provide service to the College and School by serving on committees and engaging in other activities as needed.

-Assist with AAS, Culinary Arts program assessment activities.
8 -
-Assist in maintaining a sanitary teaching kitchen.
9 -
-Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
-An associate's degree in culinary arts from an accredited program.
Other Required Qualifications
-At least five years of documented/verifiable work experience in the last 10 years in the culinary field.
-Current ServSafe Manager certification.
-At least three years of instructional experience at an accredited culinary arts program.
-Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with University System of Georgia and State of Georgia requirements.
