Job Summary
The Director of Technology Operations and Event Management position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of all Troy Athletics produced live productions for ESPN+; supervising professional and student worker staff to facilitate broadcast content; and assisting the Executive Associate Athletics Director/Internal Operations with other IT needs of the athletic department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordination and supervision of in-house school productions for ESPN+
  • Maintain and update broadcasting equipment, making recommendations and purchases of new equipment as needed
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the production team in planning, strategizing, and executing the production of live events using venue video boards and online streams as well as overall contract deliverables
  • Coordination of staffing for in-house production events, including assisting with the contracting of 3rd party vendor for football broadcasts
  • Maintain and update ESPN+ data sheets for live events
  • Provide maintenance and upkeep of department video boards and audio systems
  • Work with campus IT departments to ensure department upkeep of computers and assist with all athletics technology needs
  • Coordinate with DV Sport on installation, setup and upkeep of officials replay systems

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field, OR a minimum of three years of related work experience
  2. Experience directing multi-camera sporting events for TV, webstreaming or video board applications
  3. Experience working with Ross Xpression and Carbonite hardware and software, Newtek 3play replay systems, Daktronics Show Control systems, and Adobe Creative Suite
  4. Previous experience in collegiate athletics
  5. Knowledge of NCAA rules
