Job description

The software engineer participates in the design, programming, testing, documentation and implementation of complex computer applications and systems. Evaluates software packages, provides recommendations to management and business clients, and identifies best technology solutions. Identifies future needs for key technologies and techniques and develops plans for adoption.

A minimum of two years of experience in business software application design, development, integration and/or installation for a Software Engineer 2. 

A minimum of five years of experience in business software application design, development, integration and/or installation for a Software Engineer 3. 

Knowledge of programming in client/server or web development environment. 

Experience in the industry, or in an environment whose scope, size and complexity are comparable. 

Knowledge of open systems object design methodologies, architecture methodologies, security practices and integration techniques. 

Knowledge of relational database technology, structured analysis concepts, and software design patterns. 

Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. 

Business analysis aptitude including communications and interpersonal skills enabling an understanding of client's needs. 

Knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions and major vendors. 

Experience integrating large disconnected enterprise-class systems in a robust, fault-tolerant manner consistent with industry standards. 

Able to work in a zero-code-ownership environment where the team members can modify any source file at any time. An understanding of deployment topologies (i.e. ensuring secure, highly available systems). 

Effective oral and written communication skills. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. 

Availability for periodic on-call responsibilities. 

Experience integrating Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solutions within an environment with strong change and release management processes and procedures. 

Technical knowledge with hands-on experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL database development. 

Technical knowledge with hands-on experience in .NET and other current computing programming languages. 

Technical knowledge with hands-on experience in Microsoft BizTalk Server, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and Oracle business intelligence / reporting. 

Understanding of company's existing IT environment and of applicable company policies, practices, and procedures.

Develops, tests, implements, and supports Oracle applications, enterprise integrations, middleware platforms, automation solutions, and related infrastructure. Participates in application development, system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational support activities to ensure reliable and secure business solutions. Works closely with application teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver and maintain integrations, middleware services, and automation capabilities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to established engineering standards and best practices. Assists with system analysis, documentation, upgrades, and technical problem resolution while expanding knowledge of enterprise technologies, cloud platforms, and integration architectures.

Designing, developing, integrating, and/or implementing Oracle business applications, automation tools, and enterprise middleware solutions.

Working with Oracle middleware technologies, including Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle SOA Suite, WebLogic Server, and/or Oracle Managed File Transfer, covering implementation, integration, administration, patching, performance tuning, and ongoing support.

Developing and/or supporting enterprise integrations, including messaging, orchestration, file-based flows, streaming and middleware-driven automation.

Working in Linux environments for middleware hosting, automation, patching, and troubleshooting.

Implementing security and access controls, including RBAC/LBAC models, certificate lifecycle management, and PGP/GPG encryption and key management.

Scripting with Python, Bash, Shell Scripting, and/or PowerShell for automation, integration, monitoring, and platform management.

Working with enterprise observability and monitoring tools including Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), SolarWinds, Splunk, and/or Grafana.

Working with Oracle databases, including proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.

Supporting and troubleshooting Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions across Oracle IDCS, OCI IAM, Azure SSO, and enterprise identity providers using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and/or Basic Authentication.

Implementing and/or supporting REST API integrations across enterprise platforms, including authentication models, error diagnostics, performance tuning, and CI/CD-driven automation of API configuration and deployment.

Working with cloud platforms including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft Azure, and/or AWS for compute, networking, storage, and identity-integrated middleware deployments.

Applying DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline design, automated testing, artifact management, and deployment automation.

Using Git/GitHub for source control, branching strategies, secure repository management, and workflow support.

Working with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes, Nutanix NKE, Docker, and/or Podman.

Experience with Oracle Fusion.
