Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time New York State Licensed Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support badge and visitor access processes, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 04:00 AM - 12:00 PM Thur 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. * Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements. * Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions. * Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, directing visitors and contractors as needed. * Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: * Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. * Customer service experience is preferred. * Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. * Access control and badge experience is preferred. * Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
