Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Department of Mathematical Science as a Teaching Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Employment is contingent upon funding.
Responsibilities
  • Grade assignments for Fall 3135 courses, ensuring timely and accurate evaluation of student performance
  • Review, revise, and update course notes packets to improve content accuracy, organization, and instructional effectiveness
  • Develop and revise quiz questions and problem sets that align with course learning objectives and assess student understanding
  • Create and organize comprehensive teacher resource packet
  • Design educational posters and develop oral presentations on the topic of reflections

Shift Specifics
  • Up to 5 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
