Job description

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team on a Part-Time basis.
The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
  • Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
  • Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
  • Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
  • Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
  • Integrates research findings into clinical practice


Position Requirements:

  • Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
  • Required Certification: Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire, PALS certification within 6 months
  • Preferred Certification: ENPC and TNCC Certification
  • Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
  • Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift:

  • Part-Time, .6 FTE
  • 24 hours per week
  • Scheduled Days: Variable Days
  • Scheduled Shift: Weekdays 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Every 4th Weekend
  • Every 3rd Holiday
