The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care. The RN ensures care is delivered safely and effectively according to physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident health, comfort, and well-being.

Reporting: This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing and collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities
Assess residents’ physical and mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Monitor, record, and communicate changes in residents’ conditions to the care team.
Educate residents and families on care plans, health management, and preventive strategies.
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and resident care conferences.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care, interventions, and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with infection control practices, safety standards, and resident rights.
Provide mentorship and guidance to licensed and unlicensed nursing staff.
Participate in facility quality improvement initiatives, in-services, and continuing education programs.

Education and License Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
Current, active Washington State RN license.
