Description

Popli Design Group (PDG), a growing multidisciplinary Architecture and Engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated Designer to join our Architectural Group. This role will support the Architectural Team in developing presentation graphics, renderings, 3D models, drafting, and construction documentation under the supervision of senior architectural staff. The Designer should understand basic construction practices and be prepared to assist with construction administration services and field investigations as needed. The candidate should be self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to continuing to build their architectural knowledge and experience. The applicant should have a positive attitude and demonstrate strong communication skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development of architectural projects. 
  • Selects, evaluates, and applies architectural procedures and techniques to complete projects. 
  • Prepares reports and specifications as needed.
  • Completes assigned design tasks correctly and efficiently. 
  • Develops portions of project documentation.
  • Conducts research and development for selected products and projects. 
  • Receives guidance on complex or unusual issues and general oversight for other responsibilities.
  • Proactively identifies and evaluates safety risks. 
  • Demonstrates safe work practices.
  • May manage limited hourly budget responsibilities.
  • Contributes effectively as a valued member of the team.
  • Shares relevant information with coworkers. 
  • Recognizes and adapts to different work styles.
  • Communicates with clients with support from senior staff.


Required Skills:

  • Basic understanding of industry codes and standards. 
  • Ability to perform quality reviews on work prior to issuance.
