talented and dedicated Baker to join our culinary team.
Position Overview:The Baker is responsible for producing high-quality breads and pastries that reflect the standards of a world-class kitchen. This role requires strong technical skill, consistency, and a passion for traditional baking and laminated doughs.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and bake a variety of artisan breads, including sourdoughs, yeasted breads, and specialty loaves
- Execute laminated doughs for pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolat, danish, and seasonal viennoiserie
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all baked goods
- Follow established recipes while contributing creativity and seasonal ideas when appropriate
- Manage fermentation, proofing, and baking schedules with precision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
- Collaborate closely with the pastry and culinary teams to support restaurant and special event needs
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a professional baker, preferably in a fine dining or high volume environment
- Strong knowledge of bread baking techniques and laminated dough production
- Understanding of fermentation, dough handling, and temperature control
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends as required
- Attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to excellence
- Culinary education preferred but not required with equivalent experience

Qualifications- Completed a Baker/Patisserie Apprentice Program and/or Baking and Pastry Arts Management program
- Knowledge in a wide range of ingredients.
- Knowledge of baking equipment and techniques.
- Knowledge in precautionary measures for possible hazards - WHMIS.
- Must also patient, detail-oriented, creative and organized.
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.
