Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Administrative Assistant through 08/10/2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time Zone.
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative, operational, and digital support to senior leaders, enabling them and their teams to operate more efficiently and effectively. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support by actively improving productivity across the organization through better use of systems, tools, and workflows. The position requires discretion, strong judgment, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify opportunities to improve team productivity, including streamlining processes, improving meeting effectiveness, and standardizing administrative workflows.
  • Lead an employee engagement committee to organize on site events for the Ames staff.
  • Support two leaders by setting up large meetings and helping their team with process improvements.
  • Organize on-site meetings for employees PSG 27 and above that include 8 or more people. This would include setting up guest badges, reserving meeting rooms, ordering meals, creating slide decks, etc.
  • Create clear, professional presentations, visuals, and communications using tools such as PowerPoint and Canva to support executive messaging and team alignment.
  • Leverage CoPilot and other AI tools to draft communications, summarize content, automate routine tasks, and improve turnaround time for leaders and staff.
  • Coordinate across functions to ensure consistent use of digital tools and best practices that enhance collaboration and execution.
  • Handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and team resources to improve information accessibility and version control.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or business support role at a medium sized or larger company.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience providing administrative or coordination support in a corporate environment.
  • Experience working in a team-based or matrixed environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in an administrative, coordination, or business support role at a medium sized or larger company.
