Job description

We are seeking a Proofreader to act as final quality check for multiple projects.

This is a full-time temporary opportunity where you will earn up to $28/hour based on your experience. You will need to reside in the Des Moines, Iowa, metro area.

Some of your responsibilities as a Proofreader will include:

  • Reviewing grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, structure, characterization, formatting, organization of the document and more
  • Verifying consistent use of headers, spacing, style guide rules
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned

To qualify for the Proofreader position, you must have:

  • 2-4 years of experience in proofreading
  • BA in English, journalism, or communication
  • Experience editing or reviewing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpretive thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills
