Job Description
BASIC FUNCTION:
โ€ข Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Engineering courses up to 10 hours/week
โ€ข Organize and teach all levels of Engineering classes
โ€ข Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;
โ€ข Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;
โ€ข Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;
โ€ข Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
Essential Duties Summary
REQUIRED DUTIES:
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Required Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:
โ€ข Master's in any field of engineering OR
โ€ข Bachelor's in any of the above AND
โ€ข Master's in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, or geology
โ€ข OR the equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:
Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching which would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Engineering to community college students.
