Online Account Processor
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
General Electric Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned full service financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati with branches in Ohio and Kentucky. Overview:
The Online Account Processor facilitates the opening of new deposit accounts through digital channels and mitigates risk by diligently evaluating accounts for potential fraud while providing excellent member service.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Process new deposit account applications while providing excellent member service and following GECU processes, procedures, and meeting service level agreements
  • Check status of assigned applications and follow up with members on outstanding items such as additional documentation, funding, etc.
  • Respond to both member and internal team member inquiries, such as status of the application, in a professional manner
  • Email member onboarding communication, adhering to basic service level agreement standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments to mitigate risk and potential fraud
  • Promote online banking and digital services during member interactions
  • Perform other duties to support the Digital Delivery Department as necessary

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in a financial institution or related industry preferred
  • Prior knowledge of deposit accounts preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with members
  • Time management and organizational skills needed to complete follow ups in a timely manner
  • Basic computer and data entry skill
