With nearly 1,400 students across campuses in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Florida, and online, Gordon-Conwell’s student body represents more than eighty-five denominations and fifty countries. The seminary offers master’s and doctoral programs—delivered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese—that combine academic excellence, spiritual formation, and a deep commitment to Scripture. Its 12,000 alumni serve Christ through ministry in the church, the academy, and the workplace. Gordon-Conwell is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, the New England Commission of Higher Education, and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.

Position Summary
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (www.gordonconwell.edu) announces a faculty position in the area of preaching with the primary location at the Hamilton campus. This position is for any rank from Assistant up to the Haddon Robinson Chair of Preaching. This is a continuing-status track appointment with an expected start date of July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible after the position is filled. The candidate should be a gifted researcher and have several significant contributions to theologically related scholarship and/or leadership in the life of the church.

This position entails considerable leadership outside the classroom in the ongoing task of forming students for the preaching call. The professor holding this position will be expected to participate in the life of the seminary through weekly Chapel worship and advising, mentoring and discipleship activities with students. The ideal candidate will be skilled at envisioning and organizing programs and continuing education events for alumni pastors.

The professor’s teaching responsibilities will be primarily at the Hamilton Campus (in-person and digital), with an expectation that the professor will teach at our Charlotte campus annually. The professor will be expected to teach Masters level courses as well as supervise and teach in the Doctor of Ministry program as well as our anticipated PhD program.
