About the Position
Ready to combine your technical skills with a civic purpose? Join Maricopa County Elections as a Temporary T-Tech!
As a Temporary T-Tech, you are responsible for providing technical collaboration with our Poll Workers. You will provide troubleshooting, equipment security, and retrieval services. You will assist with technical conflict resolutions at our polling sites, supporting our election activities before, during, and after the election cycle.

We Require
This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
Other Requirements
  • Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
  • May require the use of a personal vehicle, which would require a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and attendance in Maricopa County's Defensive Driving Course
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid unrestricted Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
  • Must pass an applicable background screening
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary

Job Contributions
  • Supports troubleshooting efforts throughout the election cycle and equipment security and retrieval activities at the close of Election Day
  • Travels throughout Maricopa County to perform laptop software, hardware installations, configurations, repairs, and ongoing support
  • Works in collaboration with Poll Workers to set up Vote Centers and Polling Locations before opening for election activities
  • Prepares and retrieves information and enters/updates information in reports, logs, or other documentation/record-keeping systems
  • Carries a 50lb backpack of materials for repairs throughout the assignment
  • Analyzes programs to ensure prompt problem resolution and ticket closure
  • Assists other divisions of Elections with their daily functions and activities, along with other job duties as assigned

Working Conditions
  • Full-time/Temporary/Overtime/Holiday hours are mandatory during the election cycle
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist up to 50 pounds, and carry it for 100 feet, to push/pull up to 50 pounds for 200 feet, to stoop and bend, and the use of upper extremity repetitive motions
  • Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times
  • Work may occur outdoors in high temperatures or indoors
  • Utilizes a personal vehicle to travel within Maricopa County
  • Must not engage in any political discussion

  • Sitebooks
  • A pallet jack
  • Microsoft Office Products
