Summary
To recruit and engage BGSU students to serve as nonpartisan poll workers in future elections, with a primary focus on campus tabling and peer outreach.

Essential Functions
  • Staff recruitment tables across campus to share information about poll worker opportunities.
  • Engage students in conversation, answer questions, and provide accurate information on eligibility and training.
  • Deliver short presentations to groups of 1-30 students about serving as a poll worker.
  • Support other programs and processes associated with the Poll Worker Program (e.g. workshops, events, training logistics, communication with county boards of elections).
  • Assist with outreach through events, class visits, and digital promotion.
  • Complete poll worker training through the program to be knowledgeable and prepared.
  • Help track student interest and participation for program reporting.
  • Represent the Marvin Center and the Poll Worker Program in a professional, nonpartisan manner.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current BGSU student in good academic standing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging peers at tables, events, and in group settings (1-30 people).
  • Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
  • Interest in civic engagement, leadership, or community service preferred.
