We are expanding our talented team of Respiratory Therapists in Columbia, MO! We operate a specialized, critical care-focused environment with an average of 3035 beds, allowing our healthcare teams to focus intensely on patients and their families. Because our medically complex patients stay with us for an average of 2530 days, you will have the unique opportunity to truly get to know your patients and witness their recovery journey.
As a vital, respected, and highly valued member of our multi-disciplinary team, your clinical voice will genuinely be heard by both medical staff and administration.
Key Responsibilities
Administer all forms of respiratory assistance and therapeutic medical gases.
Function as a clinical resource across all patient care areas, frequently managing critical care cases.
Participate actively in Code Blue and rapid response teams.
Formulate comprehensive patient care plans and perform various invasive procedures.
Manage and administer respiratory medications.
Recognize, analyze, and take swift, appropriate action regarding the interrelationships between vital signs, physiological activity, and pathological changes.
Monitor patient equipment as it relates to pathophysiological activity and utilize independent clinical judgment.
Requirements & Qualifications
License: Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care hospital experience (critical care experience is highly preferred).
Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
Skills: Superior analytical, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demeanor: Positive, professional, empathetic, and team-oriented.
