The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has strong math skills, and is passionate about helping students build confidence while supporting teachers in creating a positive learning environment. Position: Math Teaching Assistant Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM Compensation: $20.00 per hour Position Summary The Math Teaching Assistant provides instructional support to students and teachers while fostering a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment

This position includes assisting with math instruction, supporting students with varying learning needs, reinforcing classroom expectations, and supervising students during recess, lunch, chapel, and other school activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Math Instructional Support Reinforce classroom math lessons through guided practice, review, and individualized support. Assist students with foundational math concepts, including number sense, operations, fractions, decimals, percentages, pre-algebra, and Algebra I.

Support differentiated instruction and learning accommodations under the direction of the classroom teacher and Learning Specialist. Help students complete assignments, homework, projects, organization, and study skills while encouraging academic independence. Provide intervention or enrichment opportunities for students needing additional math support.

Assist the classroom teacher with grading assignments, quizzes, assessments, and classroom activities. Provide constructive feedback to students under teacher supervision. Enter grades into the school's grading system as assigned.
