The Opportunity

The Department of Mathematics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus, invites applications for an associate or full professor position who will also serve as the chair of the department. This is a full-time, 12 month position, with a preferred start date of July 2026.
The Department of Mathematics is currently home to 17 full time faculty members, and offers two BS degrees in Data Science and Simulation Science, Gaming and Animation. The department also delivers a large number of courses in service of other majors, particularly Engineering and Aviation Science.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who 1) have a strong record of teaching at a STEM university; 2) have prior administrative experience; 3) incorporate undergraduate students in their research; and 4) are collaborative team players.
Applicants in all fields of mathematics are encouraged to apply, especially those with expertise that complement the Data Science and/or Simulation Science programs.
