As a Security Officer Armed Incident Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position calls for strong communication, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, parking areas, and other designated areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable procedures.
  • Monitor and control access points, verify authorization for entry, maintain visitor and vehicle records, and report unauthorized access attempts.
  • Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports; communicate observations and concerns to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
