Job description

EXPECTATIONS & DUTIES

 Hold and maintain a valid Mississippi educator license with appropriate math endorsement(s)

 Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-aligned math instruction in accordance with the Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards (MCCRS)

 Develop daily lesson plans that include differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

 Implement effective instructional strategies to promote student engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

 Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction

 Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance

 Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance

 Create and maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment

 Integrate instructional technology and digital resources to enhance math instruction

 Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and administrators to support student achievement

 Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and required trainings

 Implement classroom management practices consistent with district and school policies

 Support school improvement initiatives and comply with district curriculum pacing guides

 Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and respond to inquiries in a professional manner

 Provide remediation and enrichment opportunities as needed

 Fulfill assigned duties such as hall duty, tutoring, or extracurricular responsibilities, as applicable

 Adhere to all district policies, Mississippi Department of Education regulations, and professional ethics standards
