Job description


Elementary Math Coach
Reports To:          Building Principal
Supervises:          Assigned students/staff members
Evaluation:           As per Negotiated Agreement
Job Summary:      
The Math Coach will support all K-5 staff in the implementation of solid math instruction. The Coach will work directly with providing resources, collaborative planning, and co-teaching.  The Coach will focus on enhancing teachers' ability to provide math instruction.  The Coach will also work with administrators and teachers to collect and analyze data, interpret, and use it to guide instructional decisions.  The Math Coach will also facilitate parent involvement resources and activities. 
Qualifications:       Valid Kansas Teaching License
Performance Responsibilities:
         Guide teachers to collect and analyze data and provide teachers with resources and staff development to meet student needs.
         Provide individualized, classroom-based support to implement comprehensive program. This will include modeling of best teaching practices.
         Analyze data to determine areas of need.  Deliver staff development based on the identified areas of need.
         Provide leadership with the building a strong math core and guided math instruction.
         Participate fully in professional development opportunities and professional research and reading.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions: 
Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast-pace, high-intensive work environment.






















Salary:

  • Placement on certified salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
  • Range: $46,250 - $76,938
