Job description

Comprehensive Counseling is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join an energetic team dedicated to expanding access to affordable behavioral healthcare. Our PCCs act as the initial point of contact for all patients requesting information about or seeking counseling services.
The ideal candidate for the position will communicate effectively with patients and clinician partners. This detail-oriented individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, answer phones, schedule appointments, assist new and existing patients, and conduct administrative activities to ensure a streamlined, accessible, and convenient patient care environment.
What you'll do:
• Review patient referrals to ensure all data is received. This includes: consent forms, insurance verification, screening questionnaire, availability, and payment details.
• Answer incoming calls (average 75/day) and assist patients with questions regarding scheduling.
• Evaluate clinician availability (250+ clinicians), areas of expertise, credentialed insurances and other elements that drive meaningful appointment scheduling.
• Communicate and finalize appointment details with patients and clinicians.
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility utilizing online insurance portals.
• Conduct regular outreach to clinicians to offer support in reaching 10-patient minimum, obtain additional availability, discharge patients across EMR and CRM platforms, and review no-show/cancelation trends.
• Return patient and clinician emails/voicemails within 48 hours of receipt.
• Assist in various projects to support strategic goals.
• Escalate patient and clinician issues to Management and/or Chief Clinical Officer and track resolution status.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of CRM (Salesforce preferred), EMR, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Outlook).
Compensation & Benefits:
This position entails a 40 hour a week commitment, Monday through Saturday (HYBRID) with occasional travel to our Forest Hills or Bayside offices.
• Starting annual salary is $20/hr ($41,600/yr)
