A rapidly growing tech company in the security and intelligence sector is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own and modernize their internal IT environment. This is a hands-on, full-time, fully onsite position supporting a forward-thinking, collaborative team committed to next-generation infrastructure and employee enablement. Onsite work required in El Segundo, CA
In this highly visible role, you'll manage corporate IT end to end, from productivity software and endpoint management to engineering tooling and cloud access. You'll partner closely with engineering and security teams on key initiatives, ensuring both strategic projects and day-to-day support requests are handled with care and technical excellence. Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years providing technical support for small to mid-sized environments (internal or MSP)
  • Administering and optimizing productivity platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) including access, policy configuration, and license management
  • Independently driving IT projects from scoping through delivery
  • Managing endpoints through MDM and ensuring device policy compliance
  • Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues using logs, tickets, and strong communication with affected stakeholders
  • Supporting HQ technology including wireless networks, conference room equipment, phones, and printers
  • Provisioning and managing engineering tools (e.g., GitHub, SaaS access)
  • Administering cloud IAM (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) for non-production-provisioning, group management, access reviews
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Security teams on initiatives such as SOC 2 evidence collection, IAM access reviews, and endpoint security posture
  • Supporting VPN solutions and internal engineering tools
  • Creating and maintaining documentation on best practices and configuration changes
  • Experience with MacOS and Windows environments (physical and virtual endpoints)
  • Background in working with on-prem virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, AHV, etc.)
  • Hands-on with network troubleshooting, configuring routing, firewall rules, and VPNs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills
  • Experience working with security/compliance teams on audits (SOC 2 or similar)
  • Flexible, consultative approach to rapidly troubleshooting complex technical issues
