An Online GIS job involves using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to collect, analyze, and visualize spatial data through web-based tools and platforms. Professionals in this role work with cloud-based mapping software, remote sensing technologies, and online databases to support decision-making across various industries. Responsibilities may include creating interactive maps, managing geospatial data, and developing web-based GIS applications. These jobs are common in urban planning, environmental management, logistics, and other fields that rely on spatial analysis. Strong skills in GIS software, programming, and data visualization are often required.

What does an online GIS do?

A typical day for an Online GIS professional involves collecting, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data to support a variety of projects, which may include mapping, environmental analysis, or urban planning.
