Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this position. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of a career that includes flexibility and willingness to change; open-mindedness, fairness and the ability to see multiple perspectives; a willingness to take risks, and willingness to accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
  • Provide general classroom and clinical lab instruction both online and in a traditional setting according to the standards set by the department.
  • Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
  • Incorporate latest instructional technologies in course delivery and utilize interactive learning technologies to engage students in the teaching and learning process.
  • Assist in program recruitment.
  • Advise and register students who are in the program or aspire to be in the program.
  • Monitor and improve student retention.
  • Maintain class records.
  • Assist in the design and update of courses and courses syllabi, curriculum review, revisions, and development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
  • Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
Lineworker Training Certificate
Pole climbing experience
5 years of overhead transmission and underground distribution experience
Basic computer knowledge and experience
CDL license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate in Applied Science degree in Electrical.
  • Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Work Zone Flagger Training
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
