The Truck Salesman Consultants will represent the Nextran Truck Center, Ft. Lauderdale dealership on all truck sales opportunities within an assigned geographical territory of our Mack and Volvo Area of Responsibility (AOR). Our Truck Salesman (Account Manager) will be responsible for obtaining new business while increasing truck sales volume with existing customers.

Essential Responsibilities Develop and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction with all customers. Make a minimum of (15) documented field (i.e., face to face) contacts per week. Perform necessary marketing/prospecting to find and attract new customers while enticing former customers to return to Nextran Maintain current knowledge on all facets of the products and services Nextran offers File electronic Sales Assistance for Mack and Retail Sales Assistance for Volvo on all quotes to ensure the accuracy of the dealership participation rate. Actively pursue and support the financing of deals by exposing customers to the availability of such opportunities through the F&I Manager. Develop familiarity with warranty and service policy and dealership technology (e.g., MackTraq, TM2, etc.) Submit Targeting Plans, progress reports and customer intelligence as required by Management including all data necessary to maintain a customer relationship management system. Continue ongoing personal development that directly impacts ones ability to perform sales duties at the highest level. This includes, but is not limited to, OEM sales training (including on-line courses), public speaking, local community college computer courses, etc. Qualifications The qualifications listed below are representative of preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. The ideal candidate will have: Prior sales experience and/or working (product and service) knowledge of the heavy-duty truck industry, preferably with Mack and Volvo brands Sales presentation, negotiation and closing skills Excellent communication skills Competency with basic computer skills Ability to work with others in a team environment A valid CDL drivers license (and acceptable driving record) with current medical card
