Job Description
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or do to volume of applications received.
This position is for Part-time Instructor that can teach classroom based courses in any of the three CSN locations; North Las Vegas, Charleston, Henderson. There are will be opportunities for evening and weekends.
IS101 - Introduction to Information Systems is a course that focuses on personal computer fundamentals (Microsoft Platform). Topics include Computing Hardware, Software, File Management, Security, Cloud Computing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Citizenship, and Using the Internet Safely and Effectively. Our program offers Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. All instructors are required to take and pass the Microsoft Office365 Word, Excel, and PPT MOS certification exams as part of the selection process. CSN will provide the certification exams and a proctored test environment as necessary for candidate finalists.
Interested applicants should submit a) a cover letter, b) a detailed vitae/resume listing qualifications and experience, c) the names and contact information (phone and email) of three professional references. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited College/University
  • Experience teaching at the College or University level
  • Experienced High School Technology teachers will also be considered
  • Demonstrated commitment to active learning and innovative teaching
  • Experience with any Learning Management System (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical degree (Bachelors or Masters)
  • 2 full-time or 4 part-time semesters of post-secondary teaching experience.
  • Experience with Instructional Technology for the delivery of course content

Starting Salary Range
$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
