Salary Range: $50 per hour

Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Work Schedule: Weekday evenings

Position Type: Part-Time Faculty,  Exempt

Position Summary

Part time evening instructor position. Instructor is responsible for classroom and lab instruction in Diesel Technology trade. The instructor will follow the curriculum outline and learning expectations. Content is housed in Canvas (online learning platform). Instructors must have some computer experience, expertise in the trade and the ability to effectively manage a classroom. Prior teaching experience is not required. A desire to share your knowledge of the industry with future skilled trades workers is a must! Instructors will be required to adhere to Anne Arundel Community College's Adjunct Faculty Instructional policies and procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare materials needed for instruction, labs, testing, supplies;
Relate instruction and material to course objectives;
Discuss and demonstrate workplace safety, personal safety and power/hand tool safety;
Communicate effectively and efficiently with students, other faculty and staff;
Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in a timely manner.
Utilize Canvas (online learning platform) to facilitate course
Provide basic lab maintenance and track inventory of equipment and tools utilized;

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Diesel Technology or Heavy Duty Truck experience
or
ASE Diesel certified with 2 years of experience
