LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Instructor with 5+ years of experience for opportunity in Marana, Arizona.
Job Description:
An Aviation Maintenance Trainer/Instructor is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering assigned courses under the direction of the Department Manager. This role involves using effective and engaging instructional strategies, the Learning Management System (LMS), clear communication, classroom management techniques, leadership skills, and instructional technology to support student learning and promote overall student success.

This position is instrumental in achieving our goals and fulfilling our mission of becoming the most trusted aerospace solutions provider in North America.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: ?
  • Plan, organize, prepare, and deliver classroom, hands-on practical, and computer-based training (CBT) programs to support company objectives, customer expectations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Deliver training using effective instructional techniques, Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional technology, and hands-on training methods to support employee development, knowledge retention, and compliance with company procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Develop, review, revise, and maintain training materials, including lesson plans, presentations, course outlines, handouts, training aids, practical exercises, and computer-based training (CBT) content to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support recurrent, qualification, authorization, and procedural training programs in accordance with company policies, operational requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Assist personnel in understanding and applying technical data, company procedures, human factors principles, safety requirements, and customer maintenance programs to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable sections of company manuals and procedures, including the Repair Station Manual (RSM/QCM), Training Program Manual (TPM), Safety Management System (SMS) requirements, and related operational and regulatory procedures.
  • Coordinate with operational leadership, quality assurance, training management, and other departments to identify training needs, support workforce development initiatives, and ensure alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate trainee participation, comprehension, and practical application through written, verbal, and practical assessments to measure training effectiveness and ensure competency standards are achieved.
  • Support the accuracy, maintenance, and completion of training records in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and Learning Management System (LMS) standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standardized training programs across company locations and operational departments to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Utilize various software platforms and instructional technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), presentation software, and computer-based training (CBT) development tools such as iSpring, to design, deliver, and manage effective training programs.
  • Support internal and external audit activities related to training, qualification, and regulatory compliance as assigned, ensuring accurate documentation and readiness for review.
  • Maintain professional knowledge, technical competency, and instructional effectiveness through continuous learning, professional development, and ongoing engagement with industry standards and best practices.
  • Travel between company locations and off-site sites as required to support operational needs, customer training requirements, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by department management to support training operations, organizational objectives, and departmental needs.

Marginal Job Functions:
  • Experience with remote instruction utilizing on-line platforms.

  • Interdepartmental interaction and communication.
  • Travel as needed between the internal Ascent locations to conduct training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ?
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20 pounds.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED: ?
  • Telephone, personal computer, multiple printers, copy machine, and shredder.
  • May be required to operate additional office equipment not explicitly listed in this description as needed to perform job duties effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS: ?
  • Work primarily in the Main Hangar building office with occasional travel to various locations on base.
